Snow on the Lions Mountain at Grouse! Grouse is located only 15 minutes from Downtown Vancouver. No matter when you visit, there are many things to experience and do. You'll have a magnificent view of Vancouver and its surrounding scenery. This is a great place to experience Vancouver’s natural beauty. There's lots to do up at the Mountain in both the summer and winter months: Skyride - Your departure point for a mountaintop adventure. This is one of the largest aerial tram systems in Canada. Theater in the Sky - Enjoy two interesting shows every hour about wildlife. Shows include "Born to Fly" and "Animal Tracks." Scenic Chairlift Rides - Don’t forget your camera on this spectacular ride up to the peak of the mountain. Lumberjack Show - (May to September) An
outdoor show that features two logging camps from the early 1900's! It's great
entertainment that the whole family will enjoy. Birds in Motion - (May to September) If
you're into wildlife, this presentation demonstrates the flight of local
wilderness birds in the area.
Wildlife Refuge - You'll find wolves,
grizzly bears, and more at this educational, research centre. Eco-walks - (May to September) The
Eco Walk path takes you along the shores of the Blue Grouse Lake. Here you'll

Snowshoeing - (November to April) Whether you're a beginner or an expert - you'll find excellent scenic snowshoeing tours available throughout the week.
Ice Skating - (November to April) You can skate on Grouse's large Ice Skating Pond - the only one of its kind up in the mountains.
Sleigh Rides - (November to April) Try a fun and exciting "Canadian tradition" on a snow cat through a snowy mountaintop forest.
Driving
1) Start on Georgia Street and head west down through Stanley Park.
2) Cross the Lion's Gate Bridge.
3) Take the North Vancouver exit to Marine Drive.
4) Turn left up Capilano Road for 3.8 kilometers.
5) Continue on to Nancy Greene Way to the Mountain.
Public Transit - Catch Bus 240 on West Georgia. Exit Bus at Marine Drive and Hamilton Ave in North Vancouver. Take Bus 236 to the Mountain Skyride.

There are three restaurants that have absolutely stunning views of Vancouver and the lower mainland.
The Observatory - This is an excellent place to eat, you can enjoy great food and a stunning view of the city. Open for dinner 7 nights a week from 5pm - 10pm.
Altitudes Bistro - Is a classic west coast bistro which provides local cuisine and spectacular city views.
Lupins Café - Located on the main floor of the Peak Chalet. Here you can sit back and relax while you enjoy the scenic surroundings.
Rusty Rail BBQ & Grill. - Located just a short walk from the Grizzly Bear Habitat, the restaurant is open from June to September.
Mountain Ziplines - Looking for a great outdoor experience? Try the ziplines on the Mountain. It's an unforgettable outdoor experience.
Paragliding - (May to Sept) Two person tandem flights launch from the Mountain Peak and land in Cleveland Park.
Helicopter Flights - An excellent way to see the North Shore Mountains and the Vancouver area is to take an exciting helicopter ride. Air Mountain Helijet offers tours throughout the year.
You can also take an 8 minute flight that takes you over an extinct volcano! There are a number of flight seeing trips that can be taken to view the city and surrounding mountains.
